In this hands-on class, we will work through multiple scenarios involving more complex Project structures. Our focus will be on hybrid Projects that can contain a mixture of revenue recognition formulas. Three basic Project types will be covered: Cost Plus, T&M, and Estimate at Completion. Recommendations will be made on how to create a Project Structure that can support a “hybrid” project and the potential ramifications for billing. We will also go through an exercise demonstrating how Costpoint Planning can be leveraged to assist in the EAC computation in the Projects Module. Course Prerequisites: You should have a basic understanding of Revenue Recognition in Costpoint and the role of the PAG (Project Account Group) in controlling Revenue posting. In this 3-hour hands-on class, experienced Business Intelligence Report Authors will learn how to build a custom sideways PSR in Costpoint. This class is designed for those who are familiar with authoring reports in the Business Intelligence module and are looking to create a more detailed PSR report with all the necessary project status details. Participants will learn how to build a prompt page, utilize the PSR tables, incorporate calculations, join and manipulate queries, and explore techniques for exporting to Excel. This interactive 3-hour Hands-On class is intended to provide a complete overview and general walkthrough of the entire lifecycle of a Project in Deltek Vantagepoint. The instructor will guide participants in creating a new project with Work Breakdown Structure levels, using the Stage field to track the current stage of the project within its lifecycle, adding essential project information on several of the project tabs, and entering basic budget and plan related information against the project. Then the instructor will guide participants through analyzing Project Data (Planned vs Actual) using Project Review and some of the most commonly used Project Reports. And finally, participants will walk through the process of closing a project.

This interactive 3 hour Hands-On Vision to Vantagepoint Crosswalk Workshop will help Vision users to translate some of the most common and widely used features in Vision and become familiar with where these features are located in Vantagepoint and how to use these features in Vantagepoint.
