From my first university astrophysics course in 2001, I have been fascinated with data. We will embark on a journey that is part history, part nerdy, part strategy, and part humor. This talk is a collection of learnings as a result of my passion for collecting and developing a story around all kinds of data. We will take those learnings and apply them to event data, seeking to answer these questions: What is data, and what is it not? Why is it important to choose how I look at my data? How can I look at my event data differently?
