FIS Programs Earn Continuing Education Credit for ERPA Designees. FIS has entered into an agreement with the Office of Professional Responsibility, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), to meet the requirements of 31 Code of Federal Regulations, section 10.6(g), covering maintenance of attendance records, retention of program outlines, qualifications of instructors and length of class hours. This agreement does not constitute and endorsement by the Office of Professional Responsibility as to the quality of the program or its contribution to the professional competence of the Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent.

FIS maintains continuing education (CE) sponsorship status with ASPPA, NASBA, and the JBEA. Members of these groups may report CE credit directly to the entities on their own. Pre-approval of programs is NOT required.

FIS is registered with National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

Our programs are designed to be accepted by Continuing Legal Education (CLE) state boards. As each CLE state board has its own CE requirements and procedure for distance (or virtual) learning, FIS will not submit its virtual program for approval at this time. Attendees may submit the programs for approval and claim earned credits to their CLE state boards on their own.

Our programs are designed to be accepted by NIPA, although FIS is not a NIPA education provider. The members may submit their earned credits on their own to NIPA. No program pre-approval process is required for non-NIPA education providers.

FIS real-time Web seminars are designed to be acceptable to most other professional organizations for continuing professional educationc credit, including CFP, the ICB (for CRSP and CFTA), state bar associations, CPA boards, InFRE, PACE and HRCI for SHRM professionals. Members governed by these entities may be required to submit the program to them for approval before reporting their CE credit hours. Contact your governing body for details.

Please note: This program does not qualify for accountancy credit with the state of California.

This program will not be submitted for approval to the CLE state board of Pennsylvania.
