This presentation will describe how to leverage the Jamf Pro and Okta integration in configuring Mac devices.
This integration will enable HR-driven device control based on any user attribute, such as department or job title stored in Okta.
Specifically, the following elements will be used to make this happen:
- Single sign-on, which facilitates the association of users and devices in Jamf Pro by authenticating Okta during the setup assistant.
- Okta and Jamf Pro can be linked via LDAP so that Okta user and group information can be imported into Jamf Pro. This makes it possible to distribute individual settings to devices used by users belonging to a particular Okta group.
Through this presentation, we will show you how to achieve more efficient device management.
