Community Panels

Are you a passionate member of the Twitch community and want to help shape the rich lineup of content at TwitchCon? Well, now’s your time to shine with panels designed to be run by the community for the community. Whether your panel is held in French, English, Dutch, Spanish, or German, these sessions feature a wide range of topics on hobbies and interests, diversity, health, and education. Not sure what to submit? Panels could be on a variety of topics such as The Best Games to Play with Chat, How to Build a Successful Streaming Business, Streaming 101: Fostering Community, and Pioneering Niche Content on Twitch. These are just a few examples to get your creative juices flowing. 

 

Friendly reminder that being a panelist is not a paid opportunity and all accepted panelists will need to cover travel and accommodation costs. Please also note that this is for TwitchCon Paris! The TwitchCon Las Vegas Call for Content will be opening separately in the coming months, so please hang tight.

 

Submission Guidelines: 

  • All content must be in compliance with Twitch’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If accepted, all panelists must agree to and comply with Twitch’s Events Code of Conduct and Release. 
  • In order to participate, you must be over 18 years old and have a Twitch username and channel in good standing, with no moderation infractions within the past ninety (90) days of application.  If your channel is suspended or banned after being accepted, your participation will be canceled.
  • Panels will all be hosted LIVE and on-site in Paris at TwitchCon and many will also be streamed on Twitch. We encourage you to consider the experience for everyone who will be watching LIVE on Twitch when you enter your submission. 
  • Panels will be interpreted into English and/or French, so please indicate the spoken language of your panel between English, French, Spanish, German, or Dutch. Please note that everyone on your panel will need to speak the same language while presenting.
  • When submitting: 
    • Your submission must include between three (3) and five (5) total panelists, including you. 
    • You must list information for all participating panelists including Twitch usernames in the application. 
    • Diversity amongst your panelists will play a large role in the TwitchCon Content Team’s selection process. 
    • The TwitchCon Content Team is unable to consider applications that do not include a comprehensive list of panelists.
  • All panels will be moderated by hosts appointed by Twitch. These hosts: 
    • Are Twitch streamers.
    • Are there to help lead the discussion and manage your panel’s Q&A. 
    • Act as a liaison between the panel participants and the TwitchCon Content Team to ensure all required assets (slides, videos, images, etc.) are prepared and delivered to the TwitchCon Content Team. Not providing the assets in time or providing assets that do not comply with Twitch’s guidelines may result in a cancellation of the panel. 
  • Keep in mind, your panel should be designed for TwitchCon attendees. We highly encourage you to write succinctly and with the community in mind, but most of all, have fun dreaming up your content submission!

 

Accepted submission will receive the following inclusions from Twitch:

  • One (1) comped Two-Day TwitchCon badges for up to five (5) Twitch approved panelists per panel. 
  • An assigned Twitch streamer as your panel host to help lead discussions, assist in presentation curation, and manage your session’s Q&A.

 

Selection Process:

The TwitchCon Content Team will close submissions on 19 March 2023. Applicants will be notified of their status in Early April 2023. Please note: Although you will be solely responsible for the content in your panel, the TwitchCon Content Team reserves the right to work with you to help curate the content, as well as review and/or approve panelists for the topic you submitted. Any review or revision to your content does not imply a representation or belief that Twitch believes such materials meet applicable laws, regulations, and/or standards.
